Challenges of Generation Gap
There may be some challengers also when working
with different age generations. Identification of them and take appropriate
early actions will eliminate the negative impact of the expected challenge.
Following challengers could be identified as
conflict when working with different generations.
01. Different Working
Style
Different generation will follow the different
working style according to their own experience. Although Different working style
reports the same result, there may be some conflicts between the employees.
After evaluating the many of the styles, employees could find out most
appropriate method or mixed method in order to achieve desired targets.
02. Communication
Different generation prefers their own
communication tools which may not match with the other generations. Specially,
with the rapid development of the technology, latest and convenient communication
tools are introduced. New generations
should train and educate senior generations collaborate with them.
03. Technology
Knowledge on latest technological aspect will
make conflicts between generations. Sharing the knowledge will eliminate the
negative impact.
04. Motivation
Different motivational factors will motivate the
different generation. This will create complicated situation for employer as
they are unable to use any of motivational tools.

ReplyDeleteAs I have mention in my Blog 2, they also have some uniqueness. Being the seniors to them, others also should understand their behaviors. Seniors have to entertain this highly digitized generation mostly dealing with social medias in appropriate manner.
DeleteOne key aspect is there are likely differences in preferred communication styles and interpretation of tone between the generations. With the availability of email, instant messaging, or phone and video calls, methods for reaching employees are plentiful. Selecting the best way to connect with team members and avoid communication breakdowns requires careful consideration.
